MIXINGTEN WALLS

CLARITY.
DEPTH.
MOVEMENT.

A detailed mix built around the character of the track — balancing the elements, shaping the space and helping the production translate beyond the studio.

02THE MIX

THE TRACK
COMES FIRST

Every mix begins with the identity of the production.

The objective is not to impose another sound on the track, but to bring out what is already there — creating balance, depth, movement and space while preserving the decisions that give the music its character.

The final mix should feel controlled and detailed without losing energy, tension or personality.

03WHAT WE WORK ON

FROM BALANCE
TO MOVEMENT

Areas the mix can address — not a mandatory checklist for every project.

  • LEVEL & BALANCERelationship between the elements of the production.
  • LOW-ENDBass, kick interaction and overall weight.
  • DEPTH & SPACEFront-to-back perspective, ambience and spatial placement.
  • STEREO IMAGEWidth and positioning without compromising translation.
  • DYNAMICSControl, impact and movement.
  • DRUM IMPACTPunch, relationship and groove.
  • VOCALSPlacement, clarity and processing where applicable.
  • AUTOMATIONMovement, transitions and musical development.
  • FINAL MIX BALANCEA coherent final mix prepared for mastering.

05BEFORE WE START

SEND THE PROJECT
IN THE RIGHT SHAPE

Before accepting the job, the project needs to arrive in a usable shape.

For Mixing we need separate stems. Do not send only SoundCloud, Spotify or YouTube links, or a single stereo master/bounce, as the actual working files. A stereo rough mix can be included as reference, but the project itself must be supplied as individual stems.

  • current rough mix / stereo reference bounce
  • full set of individual stems
  • short description of what is not working
  • musical / technical references if relevant
  • target release date or deadline
  • label / self-release context if applicable

06PROCESS

07PROJECT ENQUIRY

START A MIXING PROJECT

Working files are delivered via a stems folder link — not uploaded to this site. Rough mix is reference only.

Please provide a shareable folder or transfer link containing the individual stems for the track. Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, WeTransfer or equivalent. Accessible without special account permissions where possible. Not SoundCloud.

Please make sure all stems: start from the same timeline position, are exported individually, are clearly named, do not clip, and include intentional processing where it is part of the sound.
